Example user interface on the CLIENT computer with a hard disk shown in the picture.
window contains information about detected disks and their status and control panel application, located in the upper right corner.
In some cases, immediately after the start of systems with SATA or SSD message appears:
This is due to the fact that most major BIOS blocks access to the commands associated with the options ATA SECURITY ERASE. Rebooting the system will unlock access to the command ATA SECURITY ERASE, and the drives DISK status FROZEN go into the IDLE state. It is recommended to perform this operation, because the method SECURITY ERASE is very often the only available method of erasing data in the case of SATA drives and the fastest method of removing from the CLEAR SSD.
The system includes built-in automatic mechanism for freezing, which starts again after 5 seconds after unlocking the ATA SECURITY ERASE command.
A sample command information on disk is shown below:
The field contains information about the type, size, model and disk serial number. Next there is a status and progress bar and two buttons (“PLAY”, “i”)…
The “PLAY” button allows you to start erasing data from the disk. The “i” button displays the information S.M.A.R.T. disk in a separate window.
Example of the view of the disk information shown in the following figure:
If one of the SMART attributes, stored in the “Operating with error containing disks” has more value than allowed - this attribute will be marked with an X.
The status bar displays information about the current status and - where appropriate - also on progress in removing or verifying data. Possible statuses are:
IDLE - There are no disk operations
